Sessions

Assessment Sessions

Your initial sessions will be assessment sessions. During these, you will be asked about:

  • Your current difficulties

  • Past life experiences

  • Goals and hopes for the future

  • Any previous interventions or support

At the end of the assessment, an initial understanding of your difficulties will be shared, along with recommended treatment options and collaboratively agreed personal goals.

Therapy Sessions

  • Each session lasts 50 minutes

  • A further 10 minutes is allocated for clinical notes and record-keeping

Length of Therapy

  • Recent issues may be resolved relatively quickly

  • Long-standing or recurring difficulties may require longer-term work or structured phases

The number and frequency of sessions (typically weekly or fortnightly) will be discussed during the assessment and agreed based on your needs.

Confidentiality

All information shared in therapy is confidential and will not routinely be disclosed to others.

Exceptions

Confidentiality may be broken where:

  • There are concerns about your safety or the safety of others

  • Disclosure is in the public interest

  • There is a legal obligation, such as a court order

Where possible, this will always be discussed with you and handled with your involvement.

Data Protection

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) (effective 25 May 2018).

  • Your data is stored securely

  • Information is not shared without your consent

  • We do not routinely communicate with other professionals involved in your care

If you would like information shared with others, this can be arranged upon request.

Acceptance of these terms also indicates acceptance of our Privacy Policy (provided separately).

Fees and Cancellations

Fees

  • £120 per session

Payment Terms

  • Payment must be received within 48 hours of booking your initial session

  • Payment must be made before each subsequent session

Payment Methods

  • Bank transfer (details provided separately)

  • PayPal (details provided separately)

  • Cash (on the day)

Sessions may be placed on hold if payment is not received.

Insurance

If you are using private health insurance, payment arrangements and insurer details must be agreed prior to your first session.

Cancellations

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel without charge

  • Late cancellations or non-attendance will be charged in full

Additional Fees

Additional charges apply for:

  • Letters

  • Reports

These are agreed in advance and released upon receipt of payment.

Ending Therapy

Either party may end therapy at any time without reason or notice.

Cancellation terms outlined above will still apply.
